the Hemlock Covered Bridge sits on a remote dirt road in the town of Fryeburg, Maine. The bridge was built in 1857 and carries hemlock Bridge Road over the Old Course Saco River. The bridge has a total length of 116 feet and uses a Paddleford truss type construction.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

I like the autumn ground color matching the tones of the wood in the bridge. Neat!
