The original Memorial Bridge was built between 1920 and 1923. It was dedicated as a World War 1 memorial. The current bridge was opened in 2013 using a very similar design. The bridge has a span of 366 feet and crosses the Piscataqua River between Portsmouth New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
