The Ottauquechee River flowing over dam and under the Taftsville Covered Bridge. This autumn scene was photographed in the village of Taftsville which is part of Woodstock, Vermont. The bridge was built in 1836, is a two span bridge with a total length of 189 feet and uses a modified kingpost truss with semi independent arches.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
