The Chain Bridge is a 225 foot single span suspension bridge crossing the Merrimac River between Newburyport and Amesbury, Massachusetts. Deer Island sits in the middle of the river and serves as the border between the two towns. A bridge has been in this location since 1792 and the first wrought-iron chain suspension bridge was built in 1810.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
