The great gray owl is sometime called Phantom of the North. The normal habitat for this owl is from Alaska to the Great Lakes and down to northern California. In the year 2017, the state of New Hampshire had a rare sighting of this beautiful owl. We had people from New York City making day trips to New Hampshire just to see this magnificent owl.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
