Artist's Description
On a cold winter day, I went out and photographed the only ice runway in the lower 48 states approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. The runway is located in Alton Bay, a protected bay on the southern end of Lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire. The airplane in the photograph was taking off.
About Steve Brown
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
