The Wentworth By The Sea was built in 1874 and housed the Russian and Japanese delegations in 1905 who were negotiating the Treaty of Portsmouth to end the Russo-Japanese War. After falling in disrepair, the hotel was renovated and opened in 2003 as a Marriott resort.
I'm a self taught photographer who started competing in Camera Clubs in the early 80's. After retirement in 2011, I invested in new camera equipment and started a new life as a photographer. I enjoy photographing covered bridges and anything I find long the way. My photography has been shown at the Glickman Library at the University of Southern Maine and the Azure Rising Art Gallery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

What a gorgeous place! Very nice capture with the lights! Please add it to the “2022 First Quarter Featured Images Collection” thread in the discussions area of the Covered Bridges and Historical Buildings group for a permanent record of your feature. Thank you!

Thank you Kae.

The hotel rather looks like a ship. Nice composition.
